This Knoxville Liberian wedding was the second cultural wedding that we photographed as Knoxville wedding photographers. Before we booked this wedding, our only other cultural wedding was a colorful Ghanaian wedding in Knoxville.
This Knoxville Liberian wedding began with us documenting the Groom getting his hair cut early in the morning. Next, we traveled to the location where the bride was getting ready to take some getting-ready photos, and detail photos and then quickly headed to the church to prepare for the Liberian wedding ceremony.
Although the church was extremely dimly lit, since we used the top-of-the-line photography equipment available at the time, we were able to document the Liberian ceremony without problems. This particular wedding ceremony included candle lighting, speeches, and a first kiss.
Directly after the ceremony, we completed some formal family portraits and then headed to the Knoxville Botanical Gardens for more photos of family & friends. With locations not being too far apart, the travel time was not a problem.
After some creative photos of the couple and the bridal party, we then proceeded to the reception location for some formalities, dancing, cake cutting, toasts, and more. We ended the long wedding day with a few final group photos before heading home.
