How to Share and Credit Our Images
We love it when clients and vendors share the images created by Golightly Studios. This guide explains how to properly credit, how to link back to us, and what uses require permission under U.S. copyright law.
Sharing with correct attribution supports small artists and ensures that the images always reflect our quality and style.
For Clients
What You Can Do
With your personal use license, you may:
- Share images online to celebrate your session or event
- Post on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms
- Print photos for personal enjoyment and gifts
- Save and store digital files safely
When sharing, please always include:

We ask that credits remain visible in the caption (not only in comments or hashtags).
What Requires Permission
To protect quality and integrity, the following uses are not included in personal use:
- Using images to promote a business
- Altering images with filters that change the style
- Removing watermarks
- Selling or redistributing the images

For Vendors & Creative Partners
Vendor Usage Requirements
There is no licensing fee for vendor promotional use in most cases. We simply require:
- Proper credit
- A link to Golightly Studios where possible
- That images are not edited beyond crop or exposure
When needed, we provide a Commercial Use Release at no cost to document approved usage.
How to Credit on Social Media
Instagram: Tag @golightlystudios and include credit in caption
Facebook: Tag our Page and include “Photo by Golightly Studios”
Pinterest: Link directly to https://www.golightlystudios.com/
TikTok: Include credit in the caption and tag if possible

Credit should appear near the image or at the end of the post.

All of our photography is protected by United States federal law:
17 U.S.C. § 102
Defines photographs as protected creative works at the moment of creation
17 U.S.C. § 106
Photographers hold exclusive rights to reproduction, distribution, and display
17 U.S.C. § 201
The creator owns copyright unless transferred by written agreement
17 U.S.C. §§ 501 and 504
Unauthorized use may result in legal penalties, including statutory damages
Golightly Studios owns the copyright to:
- All images displayed on this website
- All images created at sessions and events
